Overview
A medium sized evergreen tree with leaves that resemble holly and have an almond aroma when crushed. A profusion of fragrant, small white flowers arrive early to late spring. Bees, butterflies, and other pollinating insects are drawn to the flowers. Red cherries follow which songbirds love. The fruits are sweet and edible but the seeds are very large.
Uses
A good ornamental hedge or can be used to stabilize slopes.

A nice native alternative for boxed hedges in formal landscaping
Can be used in a hedge line or grown into a specimen shrub or tree to about 10 ft. Technically can get bigger but wouldn’t count on.
